One might not be able to think of any fiction that could be more horrible than some of what we are witnessing today, but, indeed, Clay McLeod Chapman has created such a world in his novel, Wake Up and Open Your Eyes (an injunction that is also extremely useful today.). I speak to Clay on Thursday April 10 on Hoot and Holler (wesufm.org, 4PM). We also finish up our conversation with musical archivist Alan Bershaw and learn about what he considers the Holy Grail of lost recordings, and are treated to some rare music by Cindy Lee Berryhill.
