This Thursday (May 8, 4-5 PM, wesufm.org) two novelists talk about their latest books, and the music that may thread through their imaginations while creating these books. Joanna Dodd talks about She Wants You Gone, her novel about a woman who enters a new marriage, and finds that her stepdaughter, and maybe the whole community surrounding her new husband's familial manse, are not so happy about his new relationship.

Michael Amos Cody began his career as a songwriting hopeful on Music Row in Nashville. Now as a literature professor, he's written a mystery, Streets of Nashville, about the bygone days when Nashville was a small town filled with music, and mayhem claimed the life of a musical colleague.
We also continue to raise money in our Spring Fundraiser at WESU. You can pledge at wesufm.org/pledge to show your support for community radio, in a time when independent, alternative radio voices are essential. Walk away with a Hoot and Holler tee, and you'll be stylish while supporting essential radio.
